Adopt-a-Friend
Help us bless our guests by providing them with a Christmas gift! How does it work?
- Use the shopping list shown below to shop for Christmas gifts. The total cost will be about $50 (if all the items are purchased from Walmart, other stores may have a higher total).
- Grab a blank Christmas card and write out a note of encouragement. Feel free to include a Bible verse, prayer, or other kind thoughts!
- Return all unwrapped gifts in a plastic bag (leave the gift wrapping to us), as well as your card. Return by December 13th to Gateway Mission's Administration Office (661 E 24th St, Suite 300, Holland. Open Mon-Thur from 8:00am-4:00pm & Fri from 8:00am-noon).
Women's List: Full size lotion, full size body wash, full size body spray, loofah, 1-3 count chapstick, mini manicure set, 2 count pens, full size candy bar, coffee thermos or reusable water bottle.
Men's List: Full size lotion, full size body wash, 1-3 count chapstick, small tissue package, 2 count pens, full size candy bar, 1-2 pair wool socks, pair of waterproof winter gloves, and coffee thermos.
Common Questions: Do I buy everything on the list? Can I buy extra items: While we appreciate the generosity and wanting our guests to feel extra loved this holiday season, we want all our guests to feel equally loved and valued. For this reason, we are asking that all the Adopt-a-Friend gifts contain all the items listed above with no additional gifts added.
Unwrap Joy
We will be setting up a Christmas Shop at Gateway Mission for Mom's to "shop" for the children for Christmas. We will also be providing a pop-up shop for kiddos to "shop" for their Moms! With a team they will be able to wrap the gifts and gift them to their child or mom on Christmas! Would you like to provide a gift or two for the kiddos here? All items can be dropped off at our Women and Children's Center: 356 Fairbanks Ave, Holland MI 49423 before December 14.
P.S. A few ideas to keep in mind - 80% of the kiddos staying with us are school-agers. The kids love things like robotics, Legos, crafts, sports, etc..

This Christmas season, help us share the true reason for the season with the guests staying at the Mission. Many of our guests are in desperate need of hope, encouragement, and the reminder that they are loved and valued. This Christmas, we want to give each of our guests a devotional. By purchasing a devotional from our Amazon Wish List, you can give the gift of faith and inspiration to someone spending Christmas at our mission. Each devotional is a meaningful way to show them the love of Christ and provide them with words of comfort, reflection, and hope as they navigate this season.
